1967 Fasttback GT
This was a 8 year restoration. I grew up watching this car and wanting this car. A guy my dad worked with at a local garage owned it. I always said to him "Hey Dennis when you going to sell me MY car?" This started when I was 15. He quit working with my dad and no one had seen him for a while. Around the time I was 22 I found out he had hit a Big deer on his way home and no one knew if he still had it or not and at the time I was looking for a toy and had a little saved. When I knocked on his door he very surprised. you know "how's your dad, what you been up to?" I went in my pocket and pulled out a wad of money. His eyes got big and I could see he was scared. I started putting $100 on the table in front of him when he blinked I picked up 2 of them and he looked at me for what seamed like forever. then he smiled and shook my hand. We went to his barn, and under a Bird cage some rolled up carpet and a broken lamp was my Dream. It ran but had no oil pressure so we towed it home. I pulled the motor and did a back yard rebuild on it. then I started looking at the damage the dear did..... Passenger side Fender, Head light bucket, Stone guard, grill, fog lights, radiator support, fender apron, front spoiler, The more I took off the more I found wrong... I took off every nut bolt and wire Ford put on..Fixed it, cleaned it, painted or powder coated. And yes I drive it like I stole it !!! Nothing better then putting it side ways in 2nd.......
