BOOKS
Car magazines mostly. I dig pretty much anything from Michael Crichton (Jurassic Park, Sphere, Congo, etc.)
The Lord of the Rings trilogy (Finally read it...)
Theives of Heaven
MOVIES
The Star Wars movies (Yeah, I'm a dork...)
Mallrats
Chasing Amy
Dogma
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
(Kevin Smith movies rule, but I didn't like Clerks.)
I like cars. The faster the better. I own three pretty fast cars. A Chevelle, a Camaro Z28 and a Mustang GT. The Chevelle's been on the cover of Popular Hot Rodding and the Mustang was finished for the SEMA show in Las Vegas in late '05. It's supercharged and intercooled, putting down about 530hp (450rwhp) and is my daily driver.
My artwork is featured in a lot of magazines, as well as cars that I have designed. Go to the bookstore, pick up a car magazine that doesn't have SUV's or Imports on the cover, open it, and you'll probably find me, my designs, or my cars.
I'm kinda famous. But only to people who like cars or graphic arts. But I do get fanmail from all over the world. Pretty unreal considering I wasn't the most popular guy back in school.
I speak German. Yup. That's mildly interesting. Not as romantic as French, or not as useful as Spanish (here in LA at least...) but hey, it's something I can brag about. Leider spreche ich nicht sehr viel, aber kann noch gut verstehen.
I like music. Listening, playing, it's all good. I play bass. Or played. Whatever. Now my bass collects dust in my office...sad, isn't it? I was pretty good too. Anybody need a bassist?
I live two lives. Like a superhero, but not as cool. By day, I design die-cast cars at Jada Toys. By night, I do kinda the same thing, only it's real-life cars for individuals. It's the greatest gig in the world and I get to work with and meet some really awesome people. I work a lot though, so I don't hang with my friends as much as I should. I'll have fun when I'm rich I guess haha! On weekends I at least get to relax a bit and take one of my cars out for some fun.
So that's me. Nothing too mind-blowing there, but hey, I'm alright.
Wanna find out more? AIM= KrisHorton71, give me a shout. I'm somewhat interesting.
