The 4-bolt 5.0 balancer is matched with the flywheel....50 oz. The stock 289 balancer and flywheel is 28 oz. You need to use the same harmonic balancer with the matching flywheel. Use the 50oz balancer (4-bolt) with the 50 oz flywheel. If you want to use your 3-bolt balancer, you need to use the 28oz flywheel.
Also, that 87 motor has a reverse rotation water pump. If you want to use your stock 68 belt routing, you will need to swap to the 68 water pump. If you are running the serpentine belt systm, you will want to retain the 87 reverse rotation pump.
