I saw this movie for a second time. Some of my observations remain the same as last time and a few new observations.
Bond girl Olga Kurlyenko is just ridiculous and does a decent latin accent. Somebody put me on the first plane to Ukraine!
I enjoyed the idea of the environmentalist tycoon trying to take over the South American water supply. This is a welcome change of pace from the usual narco terrorism and drug overlord plots that we see from this region.
I have never seen Tosca and I am not normally an opera fan. But now after seeing a piece in the movie, I am intrigued enough to consider seeing the entire Tosca from start to finish. The subject matter is strong with violence and mayhem, probably, not for children in fact.
Some of the aerial scenes were not Bolivia, rather they were from Chile. Apparently this led to some tensions. There were authentic scenes of Bolivian hotels, the airport and downtown.
A lot of the women I know keep saying that they just can't see a blonde Bond. They say Bond has to be dark haired. They also say their favorite bonds are Pierce Brosnan and Sean Connery. I dont have view, but think Daniel Craig does a decent job as 007.
