The AV8R Mustang has been powered by a supercharger 4.6 liter SOHC V8 engine that has the ability to push out 400 horsepower. It is available in anodized silver paint and has been equipped with modified shocks, springs, anti-roll bars, a strut tower brace, and a Ford Racing suspension kit.
The interior of the AV8R is made with leather seats and trimmed with vintage bomber jackets. The dashboard trim is taken from the Bullitt Mustang and the whole thing is finished with a turned aluminum pattern.
The Mustang AV8R will be auctioned at this weekend’s AirVenture show, held by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Proceeds from the AV8R’s sale go to the EAA’s Group of Eagles program, which provides scholarships to students pursuing careers in aviation.
