Default exhaust

Have a ? Just bought some BBK longtube headers and a BBK H- pipe. Was wondering how difficult it is to install the headers. Does the engine have to come out or can you put them on while the engine is in the car. Have a 91 GT, have to do this myself since a shop won't do it cause I don't have catalytic convertors. Thanks for any help anyone can give me...

Right side goes in from underneath, left side will go in from the top. Do yourself a favor and remove the right motor mount. It will give you more room for fitment and adjusting. You may encounter the header rubbing the steering shaft. If so get the Maximum Motorsports of Flaming River steering shaft. It gets rid of the rag joint and gives you a lot more room. Also do yourself a favor and do not use the header bolts supplied. They constantly come loose. Get the Mr Gasket header bolts, part number 917. These are 1/4 inch longer and once retightened after warm up, they will not come loose for a very long time. I have to retighten mine about once a year and only very slightly. Get a better set of header gaskets. The BBK ones are junk. I used theMr. Gasket Ultra Copper and have had no problems with leaks and they are reusable.
