I got that same kit when I did my conversion. Have had no problems whatsoever. I run it hard on a regular basis with no clutch fade or any noise at all.

The best thing I can tell you is, make sure all surfaces are clean. Take your time. don't get in a hurry, this causes more problems then you realize. Make sure all parts mate properly and don't force anything to fit. If you haven't already, replace the bearing retainer on the transmission with the steel one. Apply a small amount of grease to the surface of the bearing retainer on the transmission( and I do mean a small amount). This will help the TO bearing move more freely. If your clutch cable is old, replace it now. Keep the old one as a spare. They are cheap and it is good insurance. Use the stock cable if you do. Will have less problems in the long run. I did the triple hook quadrant and firewall adjuster on mine, with 0 problems. When you install a part, step back and inspect. This is just a precaution. Take the time to look things over and make sure it is done right the first time. Also, this is a good time to replace the transmission mount. It it has any miles on it, why not. Another piece of good insurance and peace of mind. Check your U joints and make sure they are good.

Glad to see you are installing the steel retainer. Those stock ones wear out easily and this way you will know that the TO bearing has a good smooth surface to ride on. Remember to put a very small amount of grease on the outside of the retainer, this will lubricate the TO bearing. As far as those mounts, I have not heard anything about them. If you have the stock cable and quadrant, I highly recommend the billet quadrant and firewall adjuster. This eliminates that plastic adjuster that causes a lot of problems with the fox body cars. But, if it is not in your budget then it is something you can do anytime, just suggested it because you are in there doing all that and now is a good time for it. Also, take a good look at your VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) while you are at it. When I did mine, I took mine out and it fell apart.
