Default weathestrip dew wipe belt, outer on quarter window of 86 convertible?

I need a tip on how to replace the dew wipe or outside weatherstrip for the
rear quarter window on my 86 convertible. I was able to destroy the old
weatherstrip, but I can't get access to remove the old rivets or install new
rivets. Looks like the trim piece that it rivets onto needs to be removed. In
order to remove this piece, do I need to remove the whole window motor
bracket? And remove the quarter glass, etc? I can't figure out how to get in
there.

I can't find any info online. This guy starts to give instructions, but hasn't gotten around to it yet because accessing those rivets is hard!
