Questions about external/aux fuel pump. - Ford Mustang Forums

After my recent supercharger installation I need more fuel pressure. (19lbs injectors still

) I have looked into better/bigger pumps and since I don't have the ability to drop the tank easily I want to go with an auxillary pump to boost the pressure and volume. This is where my question lies, as I have gotten mixed reviews from different people. Can I run a 255 or 190 external auxillary pump and still utilize the stock pump or will the stocker just cause a bottleneck and keep the flow roughly where it is at now? If you have any info let me know cause I was hoping to take care of it this weekend. Thanks for the help. Eric
P.S. I do have the 12:1 FMU installed already. I know I need more pump.

Vortec and some of the other s/c companies supply a inline booster pump with thier kits when you buy them just for the purpose of what you are trying to do.
The only thing I would do is take that FMU and throw it in the trash, more problems than they are worth (IMO). Do yourself a favor and buy the bigger injectors when you can afford and get it tuned with a chip or a hand held.

I hope to upgrade the injectors this coming fall, as alot of other people have told me the same thing. I'm just gonna have to live with the FMU for the summer.
