Default Fuel Injector swap

has anyone tried an injector swap from the stock 19lb injectors in the fox 50 to the cobra 24lb injectors in the fox cobra? I am trying to figure out simple upgrades on the cheap and the thought crossed my mind of going with the cobra parts injectors and maf.
Let me know if anyone has tried it before.

thanks,

tim

Why are you putting in 24lb injectors? Your stock injectors are good to about 220 rwhp. If you want to do the swap you need to do one of two things. A get a Cobra MAF that is set to the fuel injectors, or B have the ECU retuned for the new injector size.

You would need a different MAF that is calibrated for 24lb injectors. The Cobra uses a unique ECU to run them. The Cobra MAF has nothing to do with the injector size.

That said, larger injectors are a waste of money unless you have enough mods (heads/cam/intake etc) to need them.

wythors, you are saying that the cobra MAF isn't specificly tuned for the 24# injectors the car runs? I understand that many people don't consider an injector swap a worthwhile venture but I have really been leaning out sucking a lot more air via a larger cam and new intake setup and i thought it would be interesting to stick with ford factory parts as i have done with a few other projects.

The calibration in the Cobra setup is in the ECU. You can run a Cobra MAF on your stock injectors without any problems. I've done it.
