I don't think that fits. You would defenitly have to remove the quad shocks and I don't think they would still fit. YOu will have to get mini tubs for a tire that big on a fox.

Ya, thats what i thought, i have the quads off anyways, and th 275s dont rub at all. I may see if i can find someone with a set and just see. i will for sure post some pics if it works, but i think your right in needing mini tubs.

They will fit with alot of finessing. If you choose not to install after market mini tubs you can stretch the wheel housing yourself. The benefit to doing it without tubs is you can use your springs in there original location. With tubs you will have to relocate the perches. You do have to cut the entire wheel housing along the body of the car and stretch it up so you have a taller wheel well. You will have to cut the upper spring perches vertically so you can squish them flatter and pound the the wheel housing in to create enough depth. Then you weld the spring perches in the new position and fabricate some sheet metal or aluminum to fill in along the body of the car where you stretched the wheel tub to a taller position. You will also have to trim the exterior body of the car especially in the front and rear of the wheel opening below the trim line on the car. In addition, you will probably have to roll the top of the fender out so it becomes wider at the top for clearance. There is no way to do it without damaging paint, so be prepaired to do some touch up. I can send you pictures of the entire process if you are interested.

Ya, pics would be awsome, this is not a strait line car though. Its more of an open track/autox. What size wheel would you go with for running a 295/35-17, maby a 9"? I have no problem with stretching the wheel wells, but im having trouble finding a DOT road race slick that is a 315. I really want to have a 315 but a 295 may have to work. thanks.

Default 10s on my Saleen

If you swap in an IRS, 10s are possible without major modification. We put my buddies 10" wide ARE wheels on my 88 Saleen for kicks the other day. I don't remember the back spacing on them. They fit with no problems. They stick out a bit too far for my taste, though I suppose we could have rolled the lip a bit if I was going to keep them on. The IRS track is wider than the straight axel, but the location of stuff is different, so that may be the key. Of course, if you drag race alot, an IRS would not be a great choice anyway.

15x10 w/ 6.5 bs will fit with some work.
Now w/ a 315 it is going to take a good bit of work, but I have seen 325s fit with a lot of hammering and heat!

I swapped the entire IRS system and exhaust from my haunted 99 Cobra (hence the user name cursed99cobra) in to the 88 Saleen. I have the 99 Cobra rims that I tried on it, plus I am currently using 01 GT "Bullitt" rims. I tried 9" wide 03 SVT rims and 10" wide ARE wheels as well. The 9" wide fit great, but I don't feel like buying new rims and tires until I sell a few rim sets I have lying around here. The 10" wide stuck out a little far for my taste, but rolling the lip or using a different backspace would be easier than tubbing the wells. The IRS swap only takes a decent wrencher with a lift about a day and half from start to finish. The difference in handling is night and day. Check my picture gallery for more pics of the IRS install. You'll have to click on the gallery link under my avatar since the myspace code removed the thumb nails from my main page.
