Default Question : Cowl Hood ???

I Have An 89gt And I Cant Decide Between A Cobra R Hood And A Regular 3'' Or 4'' Cowl Hood! Can Ya'll Send Me Some Pic's Of Your Stangs With Either ??? Please .....

I run a 4'' cowl induction lift off hood on my '89 vert. I used dzus fasteners not hood pins, and I think it looks good. I'll try and get some pics for you. Personally, I think the cobra hoods look ok, but they're for show not go.

Depends on you future plans but I have see too many people go from 2.5 to 4 for more room but they all had superchargers. But I must admit I think they looked bad as hell with the 4".

i think you gotta go cowl on the fox bodys i love it the cobra r hoods look better on sn95's or even a 3 inch mach 1

Personally I dont like anything unless you have something under it that warrents it.

But it you are going to put something on go for just a cowl. The cobra r's are too rounded for the fox's sharp clean lines

Mine has a 4" cowl and it just uses the regular latch that the stock hood did. There are a couple pics in my gallery.

It was on the car when I bought it, and the previous owner didn't have any reason for it other than looks. I never got around to getting a stock hood, but as of next week, the cowl will be 100% justified on mine.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it does create a HUGE blind spot.
