could anyone out there help me out with a dilema? i have a stang pushing 475 at the rear wheels andi willbe taking it to germany with me in about a year when i get back from iraq. i need to get gear ratio that will let me travel at autobahn speeds over 120 mph is there any suggestions out there that will not tear up my tranny i have 4.10 in it right now and ihave to swap it out before it gets shipped or it will tear it to pieces.
There are several that you could choose from. 3.27, 3.55 and I don't know if it would fit but, possibly you could get a 3.31 from a late model 8.8 and use that one.
Personally, if I was going to be going to Germany for an extended period, I'd swap in stock 2.73's for autobahn driving. With that much horsepower, you could give a lot of exotic stuff a serious run at high speeds with a ratio like that.
