Exclamation help

I have coolant in the oil pan of my 2.3 foxbody. I thaught it was because I plut the intake manifold on without torqueing it properly but after puting a new gasket on and torqueing it on just like the manual says to, I was filling the coolant and it was coming sraight out the oil pan (I had drained the oil prior to that). What the hell do I do, this is realy pissing me off.

Sounds like a head gasket. Get yourself a cylinder leakdown tester (can probably rent from local autozone or whatever chain parts store) and put air into each of the cylinders (after you've manually turned the engine so both valves are closed) and look for the leakdown percentage. If it's a high percentage, listen at the radiator fill cap area with the cap off, if you hear that air there, you've probably got a head gasket problem.

Head gasket, Could be a water jacket, and even a cracked head.

Yea, I hope that it is just the head gasket. Thanks for your help, I'll let you know what happens.

Ok, I tore down the engine and put all new top end gaskets on, including head and intake gaskets (yes I torqued them just as the repair manuel said) and put it all back together. But when I put antifreeze in the radiator again, it went strait to the oil pan, changing the gaskets did nothing. What else could be wrong?

if you put coolant in the rad. and it goes in the pan, sounds like it's going into the waterpump and down to the oilpan, check it out?

Sounds like a cracked block or a water jacket. Is the car running when you are putting in the water?
