Lightbulb Burnout's!

I have an 06 V6 automatic mustangs! I've been trying to do burnout's but for some reason it will not break loose. It breaks loose going in reverse easy. I was looking at getting a line lock kit. Does any body have any ideas on how to solve this problem? If this is the best way to break loose! I want to show off the power! Any help would be helpful!

THANKS

Yes..I've been turning it off..I've tried power braking with my foot on the brake and the gas to the floor.. I tried letting the brake out alittle but it just keeps grapping.. It does drift ok, but i don't like doing that with a standard e-brake alot. It will light the up in reverse, but that's just not as fun. Someone to me it was because of my anti-lock brakes. I have a 1994 F-150 without anti-lock brakes and it just smokes them!

Default Couple things

First off there are a couple things in your way...the TCS was the first and you've already figured that out.

The next is the rev limiter and in general a computer that does not want you to spin the tires

You can eliminate much of that with a tune (move the rev points and in general free up some torque).

Then you are at the point where you CAN do it consistently - but pretty much every method is hard on brakes, engine, tranny so be sensible (yeah its fun but you want your car to last a bit).

DO NOT do a neutral shift and you don't need to push the throttle to the floor.

Pumping the brakes a few times before you start is a good idea.

Then, do a brake stand and get the RPMS up as high as you are comfortable and the tune will allow - I've done 3k but it was not my car

Then release the brakes slowly and go.

The other option is get a 5-speed

With a stock V6 you can turn your wheel a bit and get a one-legger but where's the fun in that right?

Thanks I will try it.. I can do one leggers to the right...I just want to be able to do it once and awhaile, because I plan to keep pirelli tires and they get up there....I just know the v6 have balls and sometimes you just want to show it.

Your V6 Sn-197s suffer two problems.

#1.) You have an open differential. This means that only your back right tire supplies the power, your left wheel does pretty much nothing. That does, in a sense, make it a little easier to do a burn out, but they're more lack luster as a result.

To fix this get a Ford T-Lock, or better yet, a Detroit, or Auburn limited slip differential for your 7.5" rear end.

#2.) You have an electronic throttle which "senses" your position on the pedal and suffers a delay when entering WOT, which means there's no instant power, instead you ease into WOT, which also means harder burnouts.

There is no real easy fix for this.

The V6 for some reason will not allow for a good burn out, if you get a tunner you can have the program turn of the TCS.

Or do a Burnout in Reverse
