Default How Fast?
2007 GT500 (Black Coupe, Tungsten Side Stripes, Top Stripes Deleted) 452 RWHP/452 RWTQ, Still All Stock. Top Speed 145mph In 5th Gear At 5500RPM

He's a little light in the rear at this speed, I've kept it under this speed and will continue to do so until after it's lowered.

over 140...cruisin on i95 pedal to the metal for about 2 mins... what is the top speed on our new stangs?

It did in the begining. There are 4 rubber bumper stops under the front of the hood. Adjust these bumper stops until the make contact with the hood and then turn them another 1/4 turn. Mine doesnt move anymore now.

I've ran mine up to about 144-145 on a two-lane road in 4th gear. It was a good 1/2 mile straight. But that was before the gear swap. Now with the 4:10's its only good for about 120 in 4th gear. Yes the hood was shaking really bad.

Was racing a Viper coupe last Friday and took my GT500 over 160, the speedo was pegged at 160. The hood vents on the GT500 cut out all hood vibration at high speed; if the suspension were stiffened up and lowered I'd be cool with taking it faster, I wish it had a 200 mph speedo.

141 here also. Didn't notice hood shake but did do the stops raised to make contact so that is probably why (thanks for the idea).
