tranny ???

i have a 96 gt i think it needs a tranny its a 5 speed what all trannys will fit does it have to be a t45 or can i get a t5 or a six speed and put in it im new to mustangs i had a 84 but this is way different please help me thanks..

i would just do the t45 bc the 6spd even used will cost you a pretty penny or you may be able to try a tremec 3650 those came on the 2001 and half mustangs and up to 2004 they could take a little more compared to the t45 from what i have heard

You can put whatever tranny you want in, just make sure you have to proper belhousing.

The T-56, IMO, is the best route to go, however, it's also one of the most expensive.
