Question question about chips

When I was on Ebay last night there were several performance chips for sell that state they can increase my HP by 20. I have a 97 v6 is this something that will really make a difference? Also I was reading in a comment about tires affecting the speed? Could someone explain that to me. I have 225 65 15 on right now. Just bought them. Do I need to adjust my speed in any way? I do alot of driving on the highway in my car because of my job. Please let me know. The last thing I need is my rear lit up with blue and red. LOL

Thanx for any help, Brat

Do NOT buy one!!!! They are nothing but a ten cent resistor. Basically, it's a scam!

Different size than stock tires can affect speedometer readings though, the reputable tuners (diablo sport, sct, hypertech, etc) can change that for you but you'd have to have changed the tire size by quite a bit to actually make much of an effect to the speedometer.

I doubt you've had much affect with the tires you have.
