i have recently purchased flowtech headers and SLP x-pipe and exhaust. but the way the kit is the headers do not match up to the new SLP cats i bought. the headers have a 3 inch receiver and the cats have a 2.5 inch clasp attachment. also the headers on the drivers side are made into two pieces to fit around the steering shaft then slide together in the down pipe. do i need to weld the pipes together because i don't want an exhaust like out of my headers. Has anyone else had this problem if so the info will be well appresated.
I believe what u need is either a flowtech H or X pipe to match the headers, or either SLP headers to fit the X pipe. basically a certain manufacture has their own differences in design of the product as far as full length headers go. i do believe that the catback systems will interchange as long as they are the same size as the x or h pipe.
