Smile JBS Motorsports Mustang podium finish

Bret Seafuse kept the JBS Motorsports #37 pony up with the front runners until he spun on lap 33 at T6, dropping the Mustang to eleventh place.
But the JBS team would not go so quietly.
After taking over in lap 59, James Gue ran the Mustang to a 3rd place finish.

While Lime Rock is a momentum track and generally not favorable to the Mustangs, the day looked to be heading in a good direction for the pony cars. Several Mustangs were in the top 10 after the start and with the Porche's eating rear tires and several BMWs not finding the setup, it might be a pony car day.

That's when the racing gods frowned.

The race saw no less than 3 Mustangs out with front suspension damage and more than a few spins.

Apart from the #37, the next highest finish was the Rehagen team's #60 that finished where it started, thirtenth overall.

Next up for the Koni series is the Miller Motorsports Park in a few weeks with both GS and ST classes running. Miller is a mile longer and with the Mario Andretti straight and the Clayton and Quebec corners we should see the Mustangs be competitive with 11 entries for the race.
