Herd of Mustangs to stampede in Utah
As the Grand-Am season comes down to the final few races, a herd of a dozen Mustangs in the Koni Challenge GS class look for the podium next weekend at Miller Motorsport in Utah.
The 4.5 mile course has quite a number of braking areas and it will likely take its toll on all of the cars, but the heavy, weaker-braking Mustangs are likely at a disadvantage. Here's hoping the herd comes out on top.
2 Mustang teams, Hyper Sport and JPS, are running 2nd and 3rd in team points. Blackforest Motorsports has dropped considerably after a blazing start, winning 3 of 4 races at the start of the season.
Ford is 5 points back of BMW in the Manufacturer race in Koni, falling back due to a poor showing by the Mustangs in a couple races this year. 5 wins has not been enough to keep first place it seems.
In Rolex action, Ford is lagging in the manufacturer points in DP, and the lone Mustang in GT, the Blackforest FR500C, does not appear to be entered.
