I paid about $227 for the console through an eBay auction. It is a bit much but the console is a much sought after item for 94-00 owners who wish to upgrade their interior. The parking brake handle was the challenge in getting everything to line up properly but once that was taken cared of the rest was easy.
The cut holders for the 01-04 are located closer to the center console compartment which decrease the chance of interference when shifting if you have a beverage in the console itself as opposed to the 98-00 model years.
Now all that's left for me to to do is to get my speedometer settings adjusted to match up with the Saleen setup as well as getting the gauges to properly light up. Come to find out that these things have a bit of an indiglo quality to them and unlike the Simco or Autometer clusters, Saleen did not use a specialized powered bulb socket that carries the wiring. You have to solder wires into the circuit board.
Chris I'm working on taking the Fundamentals in Engineering exam this fall and hopefully that grad school next January. I'm going after my MBA as well and the FE exam is the first step in becoming a licensed professional engineer in Texas. After the FE exam comes the Professional Engineer's exam and I can finally get my certificate upon passing. It's going to be a busy year.
