Recently Amsoil released a video on the importance of good air filtration and how their Ea Air Filters perform. I've spoken to some of you before and explained how these filters use a dry media with nanofibers which is the same material being used in the M1 Tanks to protect them from the fine dust in the desert. They flow as well as K&N and other Wet Gauze filters, but are able to filter out 50x the dust. Because they use a dry media, you simply take a shop vac to them or low air pressure and clean them out, no messy cleaning or reoiling, which can be ingested and get on sensors causing false readings. These filters are available for most OEM applications with the current gen Mustang ones due towards the end of the year. They also come in universal fit filters that replace many current aftermarket filters. In December these filters can also be custom made for specific applications. The plan is to have an online program that you will be able to enter the exact dimensions you need, with a total of around 6500 combinations available. A price will come up and you can order the filter. Also in December we can expect to see performance intakes for current diesel applications. This is a joint project between Amsoil and Injen. My guess is at some point these will expand to other applications as well. I noticed on the Injen site they have a setup for the new Mustang already, so I have my fingers crossed that I'll be able to offer an entire intake system in the future. From my experience, the companies that Amsoil ends up working with often expanding their line of products to us as some point. This happened with Donaldson Filters and Wix Filters, and I just noticed the other day Trico Wipers added some commercial wipers to their line as well.
I have the video in embedded in my profile, or you can see it on my MySpace account along with other shere:
