Default starter problems

recently put in a new starter from autozone
car doesnt crank, but solenoid makes the clicking sound. battery is putting out 12V, connections are good.

any ideas?

take a screwdriver and touch the two bolts on the starter and solonid and see if it will start then it will spark and make sounds then it should start if it does problem maybe somewhere else

Could be a few things, but do as stated above, if that checks out it could be the ignition control module, the coil pack, or a faulty wire/fuse.
