Boss Mustang

So has anyone heard anything about them releasing a boss mustang, hopefully with a 302 in it. I know they are releasing the boss crate engine but I mean the mustang package...if so when, i think i may hold off getting my mustang until i can potentially find out more about it and the dealers suck and wont tell me anything ever so we will see...

They're just rumors at this point. The car dealers won't tell you because (A) they don't know anything (and most auto salesmen are remarkably clueless about the products they sell anyway), and (B) they're interested in selling you what's on the lot today, not what's coming one or two model years down the road.

Get your 'Stang when you find the right car. Don't wait for a special edition, because chances are you'll be fighting thousands of other collectors and enthusiasts who have deeper pockets, willing to pay the exortion most dealers put on specialty cars known as the dreaded "adjusted market value". I'd heard a rumor of the first Shelby to hit the lot at the Ford dealer near my house going for $16k over sticker, and based on personal experience with dealers and specialty cars like the Shelby, such an outlandish sticker price markup wouldn't surprise me.

Get a 'Stang and enjoy it. Don't wait for one that may never be.

oh im thinkin about waitin but it really depends more on financial situation right now more than anything. As for the dealerships well what more can be said, you would think that there might be a car guy there or something but whatever its ok ill keep checkin and all to see whats goin on and everything, ill get my stang when i can afford it and all boss or gt or whatever

Ive heard just little rumors about it. Nothing conclusive. I know Saleen made the Parnelli Jones Edition with a 302 in it but good luck getting one of those. Other then that I haven't heard much about a Boss. They are supposivly coming out with a Bullit edition I think either sometime next year or in 2008.

ive heard rumors myself thats why i was wondering if anyone hear diff. I also heard that ford is planning on releasing a special edition mustang every year, dunno if this is a rumor also or if i misheard and its like every couple of years or something...

Yea they are doing that. Its the Shelby GT for '07 And it's supposivly the Bullit Edition for '08.

well some dealerships bring out their own enditions as well ,

so far in 07 i have hared of 4 different editions

shelby GT
California special
Stampede Edition
Pony Edition ( V6 only )

The Shelby GT it the only car thats different though. The CS, Stampede Edition, and Pony Package are just different appearance packages mainly. The Shelby GT is almost a different car where as those other packages aren't. The Shelby has a better suspension, more power and a few body modifications.

But Ford is releasing a 302 that could make its way into the '09 Mustang and Boss 302 Mustang

Thats the hotness that got me interested in the Boss for the new stangs...however should i ever come across enuff money i guess i could make one myself...
