this is a bad idea like a 4 cylinder mustang , i cant see familys trading in volvos for mustangs , never

I think the idea that ford would do that is ridiculous i think if they do something it would be based on teh platform but will be under a different name maybe a Falcon as mentioned, but who really nows the future

Yea base it on the same platform but different bodywork and a different name. They need to compete with Chrysler somehow. Maybe a performance 4 door from Ford wouldn't be bad. Just don't make it look like the Mustang or call it the Mustang. They don't need to screw up the Mustang like Dodge screwed up the Charger.

thank god its not true , but ford should make bigger V8s they should range from the 302 all the way tot he 460 , that would be sweet

Apparently the 302 is a possibility when they redisign the Mustang probably in '09. Anything bigger then that not in a specialty Mustang is probably pushing it. Especially in this day and age.

true that , i think you should be able to fit a 302 in the new o5 - 07 , looks like it has plenty of space
