I recently went with a Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 245/45ZR17 for a 96 Cobra and to display at a car show in June. Its a summer-based tire and they are expensive and made in your size. There are many sites that can tell you the comparatives of different tires that match your car and I'd say that is the best place to start. Never make a decision about new shoes without an analysis. Each manufacturer loves to tell you about what they have that the others don't and if you can find a big difference like, price for similar tires. then you have some useful data. Warranty is a major factor so, don't forget that one and good luck.
