i have a wide collection of music.... of course that is what 'everyone' says these days.... i am a lyrics grrl.... i enjoy tunes that actually have some lyrical value... morphine is awesome.... lone justice kicks some old school ... low millions and dexter freebish are fun .... and the good ol' dependable talking heads, meatloaf, todd rundgren and of course the master... zappa....
my dad is a musician and instrument maker...i grew up listening to bluegrass, merle haggard and johhny cash.... my mom loves standards like burt bacharach... my older brother bought the new stuff all the time from king crimson to joplin, black sabbath and alice cooper.... and i love all of those genres....
so i like it all from asleep at the wheel to zap mama.....

tom robbins is always at my fingertips.... i have read, read and re-read everything he has published.... i am also a huge fan of john crowley's "little, big".....and historical novels by margaret george .... i always enjoy our southern regional writers.... they have such a down-home silliness and wit about their characters....

i am from north carolina and travelled a great deal when i was growing up.... my dad worked as an engineer and was sub-contracted with the navy so we were lucky enough to live in many places and more lucky to return home to our house on our street.....so there was no 'moving' trauma at all, we just went on 'long vacations' to places like bermuda and the bahamas and newfoundland..... it was very enriching and gave me a wonderful foundation of understanding and patience....
the love of my life and i live on 7 acres in rural orange county, nc .... we have numerous fords and mercurys in our carports....i will upload pics very soon!
we both bracket race... i have a 70 sportsroof and he has a 69 sportsroof.... my car is full street dress and his is tubbed and roll-caged... we are going to build a new mustang for me pretty soon and when we do we will put the red 70 back on the street.... all she needs is her street tires re-mounted and her mufflers put back and she is ready for the street.... we will likely leave the racing set up in her and just take her out now and then for a profile cruise through town...
my family still lives in nc ..... the boyfrinn is from iowa so we travel across the big river several times a year to visit his family .... we both love to travel as long as we are driving to get there.... we do not enjoy flying ......
my background is in sales, marketing and account management.... i have also worked as a voice talent in radio... i taught fitness classes for 18 years [in my ~ahem~ 'younger days'] .... and have been nationally certified to teach ballroom dance since 1980....
i grew up in a very car oriented family... my dad has a 69 mach one in the garage that was special ordered and delivered in fall of 68... it has less than 40k original miles on it and still has that 'new car' smell!! he also has a model A, a 51 coupe, two 68 cougars, his 71 F150 that tows his 70 sportsroof drag stang.... so i get the car-thing honest!
