Yeah, my first chance to spew forth opinions in a public forum without fear of reprisal. (Sorry, its my first time.) Anyways, hoping everybodys year is going well so far. I decided the first thing I wanted to do on the new year was to spend some quality time with my stang while my GF was at work. So I got some CD's together and went out to the car thinking there has to be some fun twisties without traffic on them today. I hit the button on the alam and ... nothing. Not even the meager whelpish beep of a six volt Beetle. My excitement and enthusiasm for starting the new year out the way I wanted, on my terms, and I get a dead battery. So instead I get to drive an hour to work (managing a parts store has it's bonuses) to pick up a battery by my lonesome with nothing but my frustrated misguided thoughts. After popping money that was supposed to be for some nice gauges on a gel cell I headed home still kinda miffed 'cause now I had to change the battery in the dark on the side of the street. Renting with no garage :( Once the battery was in and everything was woking properly I had a change of heart thoguh. Even though my best intentions were thwarted I still enjoyed my time just spinning a wrench instead of some tires. Sometimes we forget that it is the time we spend with our cars that makes them special to us not just what we do with them. I know we all have the best plans and intetions for us and our cars for the upcoming year, I just want everyone to keep in mind that even when things go poorly, still enjoy what you are doing because it is a hobby and it should make you happy.

I've spent the first couple of days with my mustang tearing it down and building it back up.  Still didn't get it running right
