My 2006 GT convertable has the following mods:

  • Ford shorty headers
  • Magnaflow Cat back exhaust with MagnaPack  mufflers
  • C&L CIA
  • Superchips tuner

I am looking for recommendations for  the next set of mods to make.  The car is stored for the winter due to the salt here in Illinois. I want to gain HP without big reductions in gas mileage.  I have thought about ubderdrive pulleys and a larger throttle body.

A larger throttle body would be worthless on a naturally asperated car.  If you want better gas milge and higher HP, they really don't go hand in hand but an aluminum drive shaft would be the way to go,  It it would be lighter and that means less rotational weight.  Spyder Drive shafts are really good ones.  You may also consider suspension mods, upper and lower control arms are a good choice.
