.03 over 289 with 65 289 heads,ported and polished.i put gt 40 for valve sizes.kb flat top pitons with polished stock rods and arp bolts.

super comp headers with torque tubes.
camshaft is a crane circle track,591 lift and 258 dur @ .05.i run a toploader 4 speed,bang box with a mcleod adjustable clutch.
5.13's full spool,33 spline axles big bearing and pinion support.hoosier 29x10.5 tire.
i use rick jones latter bar set-up with QA1 adj.shocks and 90 lbs rear springs.
front is stock,with 90/10 QA1 shocks.
the best times with the 289 are 11.22 @ 122mph.
with the summer heat in san antonio average was 11.40 @ 118.i launch at 6000 and shift at 6500

added 302,vic jr,same carb,header,susp.

302 has a roller comp cam,640 lift and 252 dur@.05.afr 185 heads,no work,put them on out of the box.i leave the line at 6500 rpm and shift at 6500,its built to take 7200.
in the summer of 2007 i raced at grove creek in litchfield mn and the best times in the 1/8 were 6.84 @ 104mph.
