Recently on Nov.22, 2006 I was involved in a terrible car accident. I, tho, am very thankful to have my life & that my new born son is still alive as well as my 16 yr old daughter & her bf. We were traveling back to our home the evening of the 22 from my daughters bf's as we approached the intersection traffic coming from the other way is to yeild to oncoming traffic if they are making a left turn. Needless to say the driver failed to yeild & we hit him head on in his SUV. We were in my daughters 1993 Mustang LX I just recently purchased for her. Her car is totaled! My newborn son made it out without a scratch, my daughter suffered laceratoins to her forehead & her teeth got pushed out of place a bit butt dentist says her beautiful smile will return. Her bf suffered lacerations to the right side of his eye & had to have stitches put in his right knee. All 3 are recovering great! I on the other hand suffered the blunt blow of the accident. I suffered lacerations to my forhead, broken right clavical bone, multiple fractured ribs, lacerated liver, broken right hip, & both my knees took a great blow too. They had to put plate my clavical bone back together since it was snapped in half, They had to replace my right hip since it was shattered & put a pin in my thimur bone to keep me together. (I have asked santa for wd-40 for christmas to keep me from squeeking hehee)
I was in the hospital for 3 weeks & they would of kept me longer if I wouldn't of put such a stink to get home to my newborn son I had been missing out on already watching him grow & bonding with as well. I am struggling not being able to do what I used to now that I am wheelchair bound for sometime now, it is tough but I am doing it & will make it back to being my old independant self once again. I am in a world of hurt & am healing well & know it will be a slow & long process but I will do it to make a full recovery. I have to & I will. I am determined to do so!!! I thank the lord above & my gaurdian angels that I am still alive & made it out with just the injuries I did. To all those on the road - watch the other drivers driving let alone your own. You NEVER know what they will do & now a days some are only out to get some money put into their pockets. I wish the happiest & safest of holidays to all of you & your families!
